Don't Join Medium Expecting to Make Money Writing. You Might Not.

I've enjoyed writing on Medium overall, but if you're thinking you can join Medium and start writing and start raking in money, you need to understand something: That may not happen.

I don't say this to discourage anyone, just to be clear. I do think Medium is a great place to write as long as you view it first and foremost as a platform for your thoughts and only secondly as a potential side hustle. I like it and do recommend it, but make sure you understand the platform before you consider it.
