Runs 2:01 | Sept. 21, 1997 - Three first half turnovers, which led to 14 points for the Saints, proved to be too much to overcome as the Lions fell to 2-2 on the season after dropping a 35-17 decision at New Orleans. The Lions closed the gap as Scott Mitchell (43 att., 24 comp., 253 yds., 2 TDs, 3 int's) hooked up with Barry Sanders on a 17-yard scoring pass just before halftime. Sanders posted his second straight 100-yard rushing game, gaining 113 yards on 18 carries.
