Things have not been going well for the gaming industry, particularly when it comes to AAA games these last couple of years, and already industry layoffs in 2024 have surpassed the total number of layoffs in 2023.

There are a number of reason’s cited as to why the triple A gaming industry is dying with some reasons cited being the mismanagement at the studios to skyrocketing production costs. The most popular games currently being streamed include titles like Fortnight, Minecraft, and GTA 5; all games that have been around for years at this point. It seems the video games being produced are not enough to attract audiences and, at best, are a momentary success before people go back to what they have already been playing.
