The gaming industry at large isn't doing well in the West. They fundamentally do not understand their audience and are slowly paying the price. Microsoft is set to undergo their third round of layoffs at Xbox in the near future and they only have themselves to blame.

Subscription service revenue has stagnated and innovation has ground to a halt. But hey, it's not for a lack of trying, right? It's not like the developers and companies actively hate their audience, right? Oh wait...
