The book of Jonah tells the story of a prophet who is called by God to go to Nineveh and preach, but instead tries to run away. Jonah's disobedience and lack of forgiveness towards the people of Nineveh leads to his own suffering. The story highlights God's concern for all people, not just the chosen ones, and the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness restores the heart of the Father in His people and sets us free from the attacks of the enemy. It is a choice that we make for our own sake, not for the sake of the person we are forgiving.

Takeaways
God is concerned with all people, not just Jews and Christians
Forgiveness restores the heart of the Father in His people
Unforgiveness gives Satan a foothold in our lives
