I managed to connect with a town here in the Sacred Valley of Peru that has cut itself off from the outside world. There are San Pedro shamans living in this community that are rumored to be in possession of the ancient, unspoiled traditions. I ran into my liason today, and she said that I cannot enter into their community without first taking initiation from one of the shamans. He is coming tomorrow.
