Nick Myers (Missouri GOP Chairman) Withdraws RNC Slate, Grassroots Slate Wins by Acclamation

Chris Howard, chairman of the Missouri GOP nominating committee, announced in front of 848 Republican delegates that the MO GOP chairman Nick Myers had withdrawn his RNC slate from consideration. This occurred during the 2024 Missouri GOP Convention in Springfield, MO.

The reason Myers withdrew his slate from consideration (i.e., from being voted on by the delegation) is that he failed to get a full and complete slate. Per the convention rules, Myers was required to have 27 delegates and 27 alternates. He only had 16 and 16.
