A lot of people on the America’s Funniest Home Video message boards (which we regularly look at and help moderate) have been asking us on a near DAILY basis: hey guys, why don’t you write more about the grunge era?!? Flannel! Doc Martins! Long, shaggy hair made suitable for banging back and forth. Why aren’t you happy clappy millennials writing about this bygone era on a daily, nay…HOURLY basis? Which I say back to them: eaaasy. There are no videos from that era! Yes, we debuted in 1989 and YES, we have plenty of clips from that hour of grunge bands wiping out on stage and failed stage dive attempts and teens getting their large grungy hair tangled together, but the clips…well, the clips just haven’t been placed in front of us in a way that makes exploring them possible!
