This is the Mirage Hotel & Casino at night on June 30, 2024, within 2 weeks of its permanent closing, 34 years after being designed & built by Steve Wynn and ushering in the modern era of the luxury mega-resort on the Strip. From the gaming floor through its darkened, domed atrium to the front desk area and the seawater aquarium behind it. The hotel's last overnight for guests is July 14, and closing is July 17. Next, three years of construction and redesign is planned before reopening in 2027 with a 720 ft. high, electric guitar-shaped guest room tower in front, where the current Mirage Erupting Volcano is located. 6/20/204.
