Fan punched and kicked by gang of stewards at Euro 2024

A group of stewards at Monday’s Euro 2024 Portugal-Slovenia match in Frankfurt have been caught on camera punching a fan in the face repeatedly, and then kicking him once he’s on the ground.

The shocking footage was obtained by a Portuguese outlet and shared on X following the match; the man is believed to have been a Portugal fan who attempted to run onto the pitch during the match, resulting in being violently beaten by the stewards. Another man, believed to be his friend, attempts to intervene but is wrestled to the ground.

Frankfurt Police have confirmed that they are investigating the assault. This was also confirmed by a UEFA spokesperson, who declined to comment further.
