The Olympus OM-1 has a lot of fans on the internet. Every review I read about the Olympus OM-1 says its amazing, some even calling the Olympus OM-1 a surgical instrument when compared to other clunky SLR film cameras. Does the Olympus OM-1 live up to all the hype surrounding this vintage film camera? Today we are going to take the Olympus OM-1 out into the field to find out if it really is one of the best vintage film cameras available today. In order to find out I have loaded the Olympus OM-1 with Kodak Ektar 100, which is quickly becoming my favorite 35mm film. The Olympus OM-1 is a 35mm film camera like no other. Everything on the Olympus OM-1 works differently from other vintage 35mm film cameras. The Olympus OM-1 has its shutter speed control where other vintage film cameras would have the aperture ring. The aperture control ring for the Olympus OM-1, or the OM system, is on the front of the lens, with the focus ring just behind it.

Will the Olympus OM-1 vintage 35mm film camera hold up to all the hype? Let's find out.
