As Biden digs in, some top Democrats want him out of the race this week

Defiance has become integral to Joe Biden’s psychology, as evident from his and his inner circle’s response following his poor debate performance last week.

However, a growing number of Democratic leaders are urging him to step aside for the party and the country’s benefit.

Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett of Texas, the first to break ranks, compared Biden’s situation to Lyndon Johnson’s withdrawal, stating Biden should do the same.

Another anonymous House Democrat expressed increasing concerns among House Democrats about Biden’s candidacy and his chances of winning, suggesting they will voice their concerns more openly if he does not step aside, CNN has reported.
