“O, Say Can You See”
The Star-Spangled Banner By Francis Scott Key
September 14, 1814
Short History: Francis Scott Key and two men were eye witnesses of this awful war between America and Britain. From sunrise to sunset and all throughout the stormy night. In the early morning of September 14, 1814 Francis and two men with him saw the American flag 🇺🇸 STILL flying over the fortress! 🤩 This told him that British lost and America WON!
Francis wrote his beautiful poem “The Star-Spangled Banner” that becomes our national anthem. ❤️
