Bixby Knolls Artwalk - Painting with Beads at Studio Pick | Greg Pickens Artist Corner

While attending First Fridays at Bixby Knolls in Long Beach, we met Greg Pickens, the owner of Studio Pick. He's a passionate artist and teacher and took the time to show us how to make a painting using beads.

More about Greg:
As an artist, art educator and community activist, he has worked with thousands of students and community members during his 30-year career in Long Beach, California. From CSULB to the Long Beach Day Nursery, he has taught all levels of learners and gets just as excited about other people’s creative successes as his own.

His passion for sharing the joy in creating art has led him to co-found two non-profit, community art centers in Long Beach and create over 150 murals with the help of community members. He has always maintained a studio practice in addition to sharing his joy of creating with others.
