Sounding giddy, Andrew purposefully misleads his parents as to where he while they and the police search for him.

1:25- Andrew: “I lie just to scare 'em. I am scaring them because I'm tired of suffering. I'm trying to show them what scared feels like when you're scared of your behaviors and scared of how you respond to people because you don't understand them. This is why I'm doing it.”
