Public School is Always Political, With Special Guest Van Harvey

What if politics didn't sneak into the classrooms of our public schools, and was always there all along? What if the entire point of public education was always political and social manipulation?

Van Harvey joins me to discuss this LIVE. As the father of three, Van developed a particular interest in how the ideas and practices of education have transformed over time from the dawn of the West, down to the present day, and began blogging on educational issues in the early 2000s at Blogodidact (Blogger + Autodidact).

As an early and active member of the St. Louis Tea Party in 2009, he became involved in efforts against Common Core, and beginning in 2014, served for a year as one of the selections of the MO Speaker of the House, for the 'History, grades 6-12' workgroup, rewriting Missouri's Curriculum Framework.

As a concerned parent who has been active in educational matters for over two decades, Van has lately been working with parents and local groups to help them to understand the deceptive nature of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and how their detrimental impact extends far beyond the classroom.
