A small plane carrying five people crashed in Sidney, New York, around 2 p.m. on Sunday after departing from Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta.

The conditions and identities of those onboard remain unknown.

The cause of the crash is also unclear.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating, with the NTSB leading the investigation. Oneonta is approximately 23 miles northeast of Sidney.

The single-engine Piper PA-46, carrying five people, crashed around 2 p.m. after departing from Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta, Fox News has reported.
