QUESTION: I always tried intuitive approaches and found some fairly decent results (at least better than my previous level of skill) But my betters seemed to always whack me over the knuckles and tell me that I needed to use a more mathematical and constructive approach, which has always been counter to my personality but also really took the soul from my drawings. Yet, I could not argue with their results, as, to my untrained eye, it seemed leaps and bounds better than the results I was able to achieve! But now this video has me at a crossroads. Are there areas where more constructive approaches are appropriate or necessary? Such as for landscapes or architectural drawings?
