I use a computer to watch tv and it died. This is for my own personal use in my house for watching television. I believe there are two different types of computers, you have MTU'S (multi task units) and STU'S (Single task units). Single task units have one task, they could drive a display on an ad kiosk in a mall or in this case, pipe what I want to watch on tv.

Most people buy a "Smart tv" and then with a software update, that smart tv cannot connect anymore to the internet. A smart tv still has all the display ports so you can solve the problem with an STU and turn your tv into a giant computer screen.
