Beat Policing: What it looks like for your safety on Indianapolis streets

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s new wave of “Beat Policing” is now in full force. As part of the new push, officers are working to build relationships with the people in their “beats” so when they have an emergency they feel confident and comfortable enough to come to them.
