On today's episode, Jana and Reata discuss some of their favorite tangible takeaways from the book of Luke. Reata shares the parable of the prodigal son and highlights the symbolism of the two Israels that this story depicts. The first is the younger son, representing the poor in spirit, and the second is the older self-righteous son, representing the Pharisees and Sadducees who judged and looked down on others. While discussing this topic, they explore hope, fairness, sibling rivalry, and additional symbolism. Jana touches on how she resonates with Luke 5:12-16 recalling her strongest connection with God praying in nature.
