Northern Kentucky Project: Wildlife Encounters - American Toad

This toad literally watching me work from the same spot as when I found him for a solid 20 min. Decided to video him (or her… I wasn’t going to check). Figured since this toad was so interested in me I might as well share the experience.

The American toad (Anaxyrus americanus - formerly Bufo americanus) is part of the “true toads and Spadefoots” family (Bufonidae)
