He is a lifetime resident of Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Penn State University. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health. He retired from the United States Air Force in July of 2016. Dr. Finnell has been a strong leader and advocate for the right to keep and bear arms for over 20 years. He was the first President of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. Under his leadership in Pennsylvania, he was able to push the Constitutional Carry bill to the Governor’s desk in 2021.
