War Thunder: How To Hit Your Aerial Targets!

This episode is a rough guide on the targeting mechanics in War Thunder, as well as including some tips to improve your aiming skills in arcade and realistic battles.

Quick summary:
Different weapons have different velocities, aircraft with different armaments will see the difference between two weapons velocities increase the further away a target is, so take this into account.
Wing mounted weapons will have convergence while nose mounted ones won't.
It's usually best to aim a little in front of the target indicator in most cases.
Longer bursts are less accurate.
Try and anticipate where your target will be.
