Scientific Discovery: Mayan Sacrifice to the Serpent Gods

Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology recently discovered skeletal remains at the El Castillo temple, also known as the Temple of Kukulkan, in the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico. Sacrificing children to the serpent gods is a common theme found all over the world.
