Irina is an accomplished broadcasting professional with a background in television journalism, digital communications and marketing, branding, fundraising, and program development. She is a champion of social justice, equity, and inclusion, with extensive experience in storytelling and community building.

Before moving to Canada in 2016, Irina spent 11 years with the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Television of Serbia. She started as an on-field reporter and advanced her career in television production, program development, and multimedia journalism. Her roles included program editor, multimedia journalist, Cultural News anchor, and Morning Show host, serving an audience of approximately two million.

Upon relocating to Canada in 2016, Irina transitioned to digital storytelling, marketing, and fundraising, focusing on developing and executing strategies for brand awareness, community building, and donor engagement. She worked for a charity organization supporting people with mental health disabilities and continued volunteering after leaving the role to support this meaningful cause.

Irina’s dedication to educating others through storytelling inspired her to start a YouTube channel and accounts on various social media platforms. She creates content about life in Canada, history, cultural diversity, and decolonization, with a focus on the challenges immigrants face in a new environment, offering advice on overcoming cultural barriers. Within less than a year, her following grew to over 25,000 supporters across three social media platforms, and her immigration experience was featured by several Serbian media outlets.
