consequences of sin

Does a sinner have any consequences for their sins? Yes, the unsaved sinner is lost and dead in their sins. They are born with an eternal dead spirit because they inherited a sinful nature, due to Adam's sin when they were born. If that sinner dies in that lost condition they will go straight to hell at the point of death.

What does a righteous saved person do? The Christian, the truly saved person, is righteous in Christ and the Holy Spirit resides in the saved person's eternal spirit. The saved righteous person is sealed with the Holy Spirit and can never lose their salvation.

The righteous saved person resists sin, but yet the body (the flesh), which houses the soul and the spirit, is not saved. The saved person is a new creation spiritually in Christ and is not subject to death (hell) should they sin. When a saved righteous person dies the body dies and is buried, but the spirit and soul go immediately to heaven.

If a saved person sins they will not be condemned to hell like the lost will, but the saved person more than likely will suffer the consequences of sin in their body while the body is still alive. So what are the consequences the saved person may experience?

Even though there are small sins and big sins, sin is sin, and there are still consequences that may go unnoticed at first and a person may think they may have gotten away with it, but they will in time suffer in their life because of their sin(s).

Notice in the photo a man is warning another to not open the door to sin. Why is he doing that? I see myself as the man all beaten up but yet warning you not to do as I have done.

Throughout the scriptures, we are warned not to sin because there are consequences of willful sin. When we realize we have sinned we can repent of our sins and confess our sins to those we have wronged, as well as to our Heavenly Father, but yet we will more than likely suffer the consequences of our sin(s) in our fleshly body.

So what are some consequences of sin that can cause personal suffering for yourself and those you have wronged? For me, the hardest part was alienation by family and friends. I am still being shunned even though several years have passed. Another consequence for me is the feelings and thoughts of shame and guilt of sins surface in my mind from time to time. The hardest thing to do is to forgive ourselves. The enemy uses our thought life in an attempt to destroy our witness. As I said, "The hardest thing to do is to forgive ourselves" but we must not dwell in the past. We must lift our head high and look toward heaven as we seek to do His will and not ours.

Why does Satan hate us saved people so much? He knows he is doomed to eternal punishment in the lake of fire and he plans to weaken the saved to make them ineffective in soul winning. His plan is to take as many unsaved souls as possible to hell with him. We, the saved, are a threat to his plans.

We are in the last days I expect the great "Catching Away", otherwise know at the Rapture, to happen at any moment. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those of us who are still alive will be caught up to meet Christ in the air.

So what are we, the saved, supposed to be doing while we wait for Christ's return? Share the Gospel, the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with everyone you can because you were a sinner but now you are saved and righteous in Jesus Christ. God does not desire that any should perish, but the lost are many and will suffer eternal damnation.

Pray for those you know are lost. Be a witness, share Paul's Gospel of Jesus found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Explain to them that it is only the shed blood of Jesus Christ mixed with faith is what saves a sinner.

The Rapture of the True Church of Christ will happen any moment now. After that, the Gospel will be preached to the Jews for the next seven years and many Jews will be saved. He is our Blessed Hope.
