The pug in this video certainly has an interesting way of scratching his own back when he has an itch. We can’t really tell if it is working for him. We are going to guess no, but maybe it is since he keeps doing it. To be honest, it just does not look comfortable to slide yourself down a set of stairs like that. His itch must be pretty bad if he keeps attempting it

There’s not much else to say about this video. It is funny and the pug is cute if you like pugs. If you don’t it is a small body made up of snarfs. Let’s talk about pugs though. Pugs are an official breed recognized by American Kennel Club. They can be 10 to 13 inches in height and weight between 14 and 18 pounds (though many people let their pugs get overweight, which isn’t great for their snarfling). Pugs are actually a very old breed of dog that can be traced back to at least 2,000 years old.

They originally from China and were considered refined pets for Chinese emperors with other dogs including Pekingese, Shih Tzus. Pugs were considered a treasure and foreigners could only acquire them as a gift from members of the Imperial courts. However, that changed in the 1500s when Dutch traders returned to Europe with a number of pugs. They quickly became mascots for Holland’s royal family, the House of Orange. When the William of Orange conquered England he brought pugs with him and they quickly became popular among the Brits. Now, pugs are a worldwide breed and much beloved all over the globe.
