It is so cute to see that even adoptive siblings like these two are able to create and nourish a bond, just as if they were born in the same litter. Sure, the young ones can be a nuisance sometimes (read: most of the time), but older dogs like Sofija know this to be a fact of life, something pups can grow out of, and she chooses to be Stubby’s guardian.

So, with every inch that the human is getting closer to the pup, Sofija lets out a growl. Her rumbling warnings get louder and louder with every step he makes, but she keeps her head down, probably not wanting to show off as too aggressive. Stubby makes his own statement, barking at the human as he tries to catch the pup off guard. It still doesn’t dissuade the man from his intentions.

But when the man got too close for comfort with the puppy, Sofija lifts her head up and barks with a statement so fierce, it would probably make even the stoutest of characters change their mind. She even barks a second time, as if to say “have I made myself clear?”. The human clearly got the message, because he backed off that very instant.

How awesome it must be to have an older sister like that?
