Even Something As Mundane As A Water Bottle Can Leave A Puppy Baffled

Curiosity is never a bad thing. Being curious means you have a strong will to learn and discover new things. If man was not curious throughout history, now we wouldn’t have things like wheels and fire and electricity, to mention a few. Puppies learn pretty much the same way. They need to know that the stairs needs to be taken one step at a time of they want to be with their human that is on the other floor. They need to step on the grass if they want to run after that squirrel. And they sure as heck need to learn that things that have a round profile will roll if you push them. Or won’t, if they are filled with something

Take this silly pup for example. Opie the Golden Retriever puppy is absolutely fascinated by a bottle of water and has the most adorable reaction to it. It seems it is his first encounter with this mundane object and he is deeply invested in getting to know it. But he is not aware that the bottle is probably half way filled with water, making it heavier at the bottom and therefore is unable to roll off completely.

Opie knows that stuff like this bottle should keep on rolling when he gives them a push with his paw, so he finds it really frustrating when this bottle doesn’t. What does he do? He barks at it. How dare this water bottle stay where it is?
