Something happening to me....
Something screaming to break free!
Can I really do poetry?
Who gives a fuck, no NO, not me!

Clear blue skies
We will summise
To be the end
Of pulpit lies

For all will see
With clarity
And breath and heart
And amnesty?

For while the pains
Of birthing free
Inspired needed calamity
We all may see
Those of us free
The choice to thrive is just for we

The strong and meek
The proud and free

The men unwilling to pretend
The women fighting for an end
To evils planned against our heirs
While the masses have no cares

Generations in the making
But there will be no great retaking
'Cos when the chips come falling down
We'll be left to call the sound

Fathers! Mothers! Elders! More!
We are bound to settle score
The war on kids, we'll not concede
Forever, and, whatever need

Our sons and daughters now and hence
We'll allow no single fence
To bind young lives we love intense
By lies that hide and make no sense

We'll bust the gates
And with our mates
Free us all from stripey skies
And govco lies
And breath clean air
And see through eyes
Without despair

With those who love and hold and pray
For just another joyful day
Of meaning, love and eye contact
So that we make another pact
That gratitude is our fall back

That all the best we always see
And while there may be misery
There's space for joy and memory
Of those we loved and elders gone
Who passed the torch on to their sons

And daughters who take it with both hands
And know the honour it demands

To live a life deeply in love
And honoured by the source above
That's in their very beating heart
And breath gifted that they take part

There's peace and hope and levity
Knowing we all have all we need.

No longer must we acquire things
Or contemplate what 'morro brings
As sure as dusk becomes the dawn
Broken dreams leave us forlorn

Until we let go of the fear
That love withdraws with failure here
Or it is weak to show a tear
Or that the end is slipping near

'Cos nihilism leaves no space
For daily beauty to embrace
And dwelling on our old stories
Prevents us now from saying please

And thank you to the friendly source
Of life and love and more of course
Power that fills me to the brim
No matter what the fuck I'm in

A knowing that I'm truly loved
From deep within, and up above
No matter what, no matter where
Feeling overwhelming care

So all I wish the future brings
Is hearts that see and eyes that sing
Of joy and wonder, contribution
This will be the revolution

On our shoulders they must stand
Future farmers of this land
Lovers of the earth and man
Children who know they always can

And children they will have in turn
The truth of life we'll help them learn
That there's no need for them to earn
The love of others or to yearn

For things outside of their control
For things they tell us make us whole
Clear skies or not they will uphold
Internal fortitude, not old

Beliefs and traumas, fears and doubts
'Cos through it all their souls will shout
"My purpose is not to be without!
To love to live is what it's 'bout!"

And through it all I pray to see
Through old clear eyes
Who've sung with glee
And love and hope, passionately
My children's children truly free

Not cloudy skies, just cloudy ties
To ways we think we have to be

This is the prison we must break
'Cos on our shoulders we must take
Leaders of our future awake
To challenges where all's at stake

When they will lead with hearts and minds
No matter what the journey finds
So go beyond and up and out
But never ever have a doubt

That how we be is what they see
We show the possibility.

So grow up, show up, become bold
Demonstrate the future holds
A spark, a flame, a roaring fire
Of everything we could desire

But most of all deep, deep within
A knowing that we all are kin
A feeling that we all are whole
A worthy, willing, perfect soul.
This for our children is the goal.
Demonstrating is our role
To be the men and woman folk
Who know deep down that we aren't broke

Within us is divinity
And all other complexity
We won't forgot the simple truth
We can be free and here's the proof

Freedom wins through history
Why wait when we can now be free
From shackles that we self impose
Then replicate on those we chose
To birth into this world, God knows
For them we'd give and sacrifice
No matter what the final price

But all we have to do is be
What we want children to see

To know that we'll be in the fight
No matter if the challenge might
Seem to stretch beyond our sight
Until we demonstrate our right

To be free of our inner chains
Of fear and guilt and doubt and shame
And knowing that there's no defeat
No expectations so replete
'Cos in ourselves we can retreat
To places where we are complete

To be strong foundations which with
Our shoulders will carry the myth
That is in fact the truth to choose
That life is all about the views

We take on about every thing
We need our eyes and hearts to sing
And see and feel and know deeply
Of what life is lived truly free.
