Trump and Biden argue about abortion during the presidential debate

For the first time since 2020, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump—the presumed Democratic and Republican presidential nominees—shared a debate platform on June 27.

The Supreme Court's 2022 ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and gave states back control over abortion laws was attributed to Trump. "It's been a great thing," he added, "this is what everybody wanted." In response, Biden said, "It's been a terrible thing."
