Dog Jumps In Pool To Save His Friend

Recently, Smokey the dog had his canine friend Remus over at the house for a playdate, but then something scary happened. Smokey isn't such a strong swimmer, so he typically just wades on the steps of his family's pool, but on this day he ended up falling in near the deep end. Unable to navigate his way back out, Smokey seemed at serious risk of drowning. The dog is seen treading water, struggling to get out while Remus paces along the side. Distressed Remus then jumps into the pool and swims behind his friend, using his head to push Smokey out of the water.

This is what the owner says: "Remus my daughter’s dog and Smokey, our dog was in backyard. We let the dogs in and notice Smokey was wet. So we wondered if he got into the pool. Well when I reviewed the security cameras, we saw that Smokey was struggling to get out. That’s when it seemed that Remus was trying to direct Smokey to the steps. Remus did this a few times, then ended up jumping in to nudge Smokey out of the pool."
