🇪🇺🤡Borrell on how Serbia's ties with Russia are incompatible with its future in the EU:

We are ready to further deepen the gradual integration and expand our support to partners in the region, but we expect them to stand together with us to defend the rules-based international order, and particular in Ukraine and particular in measures taken to counter Russia invasion of Ukraine.

The inclusion of the Western Balkan countries in our common security policy is seen as an expression of strategic choice and commitment to membership. Close engagement with Putin is incompatible with the country's accession to the EU. The path to the EU begins with joining foreign policy. You can't just promise to do it and then, having already joined, create problems inside the EU. We already have that, and we do not need more. Serbia is well aware of this condition.
