Teachers: Eliminate Boring Lectures

Have you ever heard people say, “that presentation was horrible?” Or, “this teacher is terrible!” Maybe they were talking about you and maybe YOU are the teacher in question! It’s hard not to take those comments to heart. But we should use that feedback to better our craft. Are you really a terrible teacher… probably not! Likely, it has more to do with the way you are presenting your material. Take a look at your slides or PowerPoint that you’re using and ask yourself the question: do I really need this many words? Can I make this slide more interesting with a picture, gif, or video? Is there anything I can do to make this lecture more interactive and interesting?
