Laughter is Healing. Performing for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.

This is the full tale of the most memorable show of my life, having to perform for soldiers who had just lost their friend durning an ambush in Afghanistan.

I got to spend the better part of a month traveling across the country, slinging jokes to men and women stationed far from home, far from their families.

I can't imagine anything ever topping this one. How could anything compete with what happened that day, and what the C.O. told me afterwards?

I used to have a picture of me, sitting on the floor with those soldiers. That's how I know there were seventeen of them.

Too many moves, too many boxes... I fear that photo has been lost forever.

Maybe I'll stumble across it again someday, but my hopes aren't high.

Regardless, I have the memory, and that will have to be enough.

All gave some; some gave all.

I never found out that soldier's name.

But I still think about him from time to time.
