Reuben told Jacob that he would take care of Benjamin if they went back to Egypt, but Jacob said no! He would not allow Benjamin to go! Todays let’s read Genesis 42:38 and remind your Tiny Arrows of the previous lesson where you talked about older and younger siblings. Then talk about how the older siblings might be able to do different things than the younger! Then explain that even though Benjamin might have been old enough to go, his dad Jacob did not want him to go. He wanted him to stay safe with him!

But Jacob said, “My son will not go down there with you; his brother is dead and he is the only one left. If harm comes to him on the journey you are taking, you will bring my gray head down to the grave in sorrow.”
