PICKUP STRIKES BICYCLIST, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 06/26/24...

Bicyclist Struck by Pickup, LIVINGSTON, June 26, 2024 - Shortly before 10 am on June 26, 2024, the driver of a Dodge pickup that crossed over from the east-bound side of 190 West, to the west-bound side and struck a man on a motorized bicycle. The accident knocked the bicyclist off his bike and he sustained WHAT APPEARED TO BE fairly serious injuries. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with a Deputy from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Sergeant Ronnie Bogany with the Livingston Police Department. Bogany was assisted by other officers from LPD. The driver of the motorized bicycle is identified as David Stephens, 65, of Livingston. The driver of the pickup is identified as Daniel Johns, 51, of Livingston. It appears that Johns was pulling into Tractor Supply just as Stephens was crossing the Tractor Supply entrance. This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.
