Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for the latest Tyler Perry dramatic thriller titled Divorce in the Black, ready for streaming in early July this summer. Yet another new Tyler Perry domestic thriller being churned out and dumped right away on streaming before anyone has time to even know it's out there. "Breaking free means fighting back." Ava, a young bank professional, is devastated when her husband abandons their marriage. She's determined to fight until fate intervenes, revealing the wicked deeds that once upon a time sabotaged Ava's destiny to connect with her soulmate. Starring Meagan Good as Ava, with Cory Hardrict, Joseph Lee Anderson, Shannon Wallace, Taylor Polidore, Richard Lawson, & Debbi Morgan. Perry also just had another new thriller called Mea Culpa released on Netflix a few months ago. As usual, by now everyone knows what to expect with these Perry movies, they're pretty much the same thing over & over. Nothing new to see here.

We’re finally getting a glimpse of Tyler Perry’s latest film Divorce in the Black with the release of a new trailer.

The film stars Meagan Good (Harlem), Cory Hardrict (All American: Homecoming), Joseph Lee Anderson (Young Rock), Taylor Polidore (Snowfall), Shannon Wallace (City on a Hill), Richard Lawson (For Colored Girls) and Debbi Morgan (Power Book II: Ghost).

Directed and written by Perry, the story follows Ava, a young bank professional who is devastated when her husband Dallas abandons a marriage she is determined to fight for until fate intervenes, revealing Dallas’ wicked deeds that have trashed their marriage, and once upon a time sabotaged Ava’s destiny to be loved by her true soulmate.

“Making Divorce In The Black was born out of wanting to tell Ava’s story. She is surrounded by all this power through her foundation – her family and friends,” Perry said. “She has all the power inside of her but that power is somehow lost in her marriage. So it was important for her character to find her way, to show that journey back to her power.”

In addition to Perry via Tyler Perry Studios, Good, Angi Bones, Will Areu, and Dianne Ashford also serve as the film’s producers.

Divorce In The Black will stream globally on Prime Video on July 11.
