"Operation Oak":
Major Harald-Otto Mors, born on November 18, 1910, was a German Luftwaffe officer during the Second World War. In the summer of 1943, he commanded a battalion of Fallschirmjäger and played a crucial role in planning and leading the Gran Sasso raid. This daring operation aimed to rescue Benito Mussolini, who had been arrested in September 1943. Mors received the German Cross in Gold for his actions during this mission. The raid involved securing the lower cable-car station at the foot of the Gran Sasso Mountain while an airborne force rescued Mussolini from the mountain top.
