The Establishment's Worst Nightmare: The Man They Fear the Most

Now we already know that Donald Trump is not someone who’s gonna hold back while going off on his political adversaries but he usually doesn’t really go this hard on anyone.
And yet he made it abundantly clear that he thinks voting for RFK might be the worst thing you can do as a republican voter.

However, Trump isn’t the only one dunking on Robert Kennedy Jr., Democrats have also been trying their best to discredit the independent candidate whenever they can.

For instance, all the big stakeholders in the party are now trying to stop RFK from appearing on ballots all across the nation in November.

They are doing this by filing legal challenges seeking to get his ballot petitions thrown out in several states including the battleground states of North Carolina and Nevada.

Now the Democrats have been trying to push Kennedy off the ship since the the end of March but legally challenging his candidacy in all these states is a serious escalation of hostilities.
And as if all of this wasn’t enough, things got even weirder last week when CNN denied Kennedy a chance to join Trump and Biden in what is going to be the most important political event of the year so far.

Now even without his exclusion the upcoming debate was a little controversial since the Commission on Presidential Debates had no involvement in scheduling it which isn’t traditional whatsoever.

However, the Network did clarify that it used 3 basic criteria to choose participants for the debate and RFK simply failed to meet these requirements. According to these criteria, to qualify for the debate, a candidate has to be 35 years old and a natural-born citizen. He needs to have at least 15 percent support in the last 4 polls and he has to be on the ballot of enough states to potentially win 270 Electoral College votes.
As of right now, RFK is on the ballot of 18 states with a total of 238 electoral college votes.

And even though his polling numbers did reach 15 percent in three accepted polls, he just hasn’t been accepted on the ballot by enough states so CNN was justified in disqualifying him.

But this disqualification has only made him more popular because now people are starting to wonder why won’t the main candidates have a debate with him on national television. And he has even received support from some big celebrities.

Now the big question is, “ why are both parties freaking out about an independent candidate?”

Well, the answer to this question is a little complex, to say the least. The first thing you need to understand is that in a close race like this one, third-party candidates can quite literally decide the election by taking away vital votes in the battleground states.

And despite receiving a ton of criticism from Donald Trump, he sided with the former president after he received a guilty verdict in his hush money trial.

Another reason why the Democrats are starting to fear RFK is his choice of vice president.

For those of you who don’t know, Rober Kennedy has chosen 38-year-old lawyer and Silicon Valley investor Nicole Shanahan as his running mate. This is a big blow to both parties because Miss Shanahan, who happens to be the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, has deep pockets and has given a huge boost to Kennedy’s campaign by donating millions of dollars to it. However, her connection to RFK is especially concerning for Democrats because she used to be a big supporter of DNC candidates.

In Fact, she has not only donated to Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden in the past but she also supported other Democratic candidates in 2020.
Her departure from the DNC can cause other young and disheartened donors to follow suit which will be a disaster for President Biden’s already sinking campaign.

The Kennedy name also has a lot of historical significance for Democratic voters, many of whom are not on board with the policies of the President. In order to win over these voters, Democrats had to mobilize the Kennedy family who had to openly endorse the sitting president back in April to stop the RFK avalanche.

And as for why Trump is now waging war against Kennedy the answer is rather simple, Robert Kennedy is winning over Republican voters who are anti-vaccine and consider previous lockdowns an important electoral issue. During last month's Libertarian convention which was attended by Trump as well as Kennedy, RFK had this to say about the former president.
