Maria Espanosa, along with Joe Kent and various other attendees/speakers, came and unfurled banners from the Reembrace Project, a group dedicated to commemorating the lives taken by illegal crossers and immigrants from the recent and past border crises in the US.

Maria then proceeded to explain the history of the immigration crisis and how it was preceeded by past presidencies until finally coming to a head with the Biden Admins recent attempts and work of opening the border including loosening restrictions on already flaky policies such as catch and release (which allowed migrants to walk freely into the US with no enforcement effort of tracking them upon being issued a court date for asylum claims). She detailed the tragedy that has hit the issue of civil rights for American citizens as deferment has lead to direct deaths of many ranging from State Troopers, to business owners and children, at the hands of migrants without any constraint until after the migrant has been caught in the act, on the free movement of illegal immigrants.

The Candidate Forum was opened up to the collection of local Clark county and multi county candidates for positions including federal congressional runs as well as Governor candidate of WA state.

This took place on June 20th, 2024 at 4-10 pm on Thursday just after the Holiday of Juneteenth in WA state in Clark County.
