At least 2 are dead from catastrophic Midwest flooding

Severe storms and major flooding in the Midwest have resulted in at least two deaths and the potential failure of the Rapidan Dam near Mankato, Minnesota, which was built in the early 1900s.

Blue Earth County officials have warned that the dam is in “imminent failure condition” but have not planned mass evacuations yet.

Flooding has affected local businesses, including The Dam Store, a family-owned business since 1972, CNN reported.
