Just a regular old front porch chat. I was thinking about the Oklahoma territory. I watched the original true grit over the weekend. That young lady that rooster cogburn was helping from Darnell which sets 5 miles up the road here. Of course historically there's not records of a rooster cogburn in fort Smith. But I've heard stories both ways. But it had me thinking about the territory. In the movie rooster cogburn that is not Eastern Oklahoma. Eastern Oklahoma is known as Green country. And there weren't a lot of mountain ranges in Oklahoma.
