Eternal Security 22 - 1 Peter 1:3-5

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively expectation by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Most translations say "hope" instead of "expectation" but the idea of the Greek word is "expectation according to promise". When it's the promise of God, it's something we can be sure of.

And notice it also says "kept in the power of God".

And "to an inheritance incorruptible and that fadeth not away".

We don't keep ourselves saved. God does. If you've been saved, there is not way that can change.
