Faith in Action: The Power of Prayer and Perseverance | Matthew 7:7-8 Reflection and Prayer

Today,
we are going to reflect
on a well-known passage,
which encourages us to seek,
ask, and knock
with faith and persistence.

It is from the Gospel of Matthew,
chapter 7, verses 7 and 8 which say:
"Ask,
and it will be given to you;
seek,
and you will find;
knock,
and the door
will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks,
receives;
the one who seeks,
finds;
and to the one who knocks,
the door will be opened."

These verses remind us
of the power of prayer
and the importance of perseverance
in our spiritual journey.
Jesus invites us
to approach God
with our needs and desires,
assuring us
that our earnest prayers
will be heard.
This promise
encourages us
to remain hopeful
and diligent
in our pursuit
of a deeper relationship with God.
It is a call
to trust in God's timing and wisdom,
knowing that He is a loving Father
who delights in giving good gifts
to His children.

Let us Pray.

Heavenly Father,
we thank You for Your promise
that when we ask, seek, and knock,
You will respond.
Help us to come before You
with faith and persistence,
trusting in Your goodness and love.
Teach us to seek
Your presence above all else
and to rely on Your guidance
in every aspect of our lives.
Open the doors
that lead us closer to You
and grant us the courage
to follow Your will.
In Jesus' name,
we pray.
