teve Murray wanted to fly since childhood and got his chance in the Rhodesian Air Force to fly fast jets (Hunter). He was then part of a select group flying SAAF Mirage 3s with the 2 Sdn - the premier SAAF fighter squadron aka "The Flying Cheetahs" on detachment. Steve returned to Rhodesia to fly Allo 3 helicopters before becoming a commercial pilot flying the Viscount, Boeing 747, 737 and Airbus for QANTAS and Cathay Pacific.
