COMBAT BRIEFING NUMBER 848

Colonel AC. Oguntoye's briefing on the progress of the special military operation as of June 24, 2024:

1. **Continuation of Operations:** The Russian Armed Forces are persisting with their special military operation across various fronts.

2. **Successes in Multiple Regions:**
- The **North group** of troops reported success against the 36th Marine Brigade, the 113th Terrestrial Defense Brigade, and the 13th National Guard Brigade in the Kharkov region. They also repelled a counterattack by the 71st Jaeger Brigade. Reported Ukrainian losses include 220 military personnel, a tank, three armored vehicles, and other equipment.
- The **West group** of troops captured more advantageous positions and inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian mechanized brigades in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People's Republic. This includes the destruction of an artillery ammunition warehouse.
- The **Southern group** improved front-line situations and overpowered Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk People’s Republic, destroying military personnel, a tank, an armored personnel carrier, and other vehicles.
- The **Center group** improved tactical positions and countered multiple Ukrainian counterattacks in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
- The **Vostok group** occupied better positions and successfully repelled a counterattack by the 37th Marine Brigade.
- The **Dnepr group** achieved victories in the Kherson region, inflicting losses on Ukrainian forces including a tank and several vehicles.

3. **Artillery and Air Strikes:**
- Operational-tactical aviation, UAVs, missile forces, and artillery targeted a significant logistics center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces which was instrumental in weapon storage and redistribution, affecting supplies delivered by Western countries.
- These units also struck enemy concentrations in 112 regions.

4. **Air Defense Successes:** The air defense systems successfully shot down a notable number of UAVs, operational-tactical missiles (including ATACMS and Patriot missiles), and HIMARS and Vampire missiles.

5. **Cumulative Losses Reported:** The Russian Federation claims extensive destruction of Ukrainian military capabilities since the beginning of the operation, including 613 aircraft, 276 helicopters, over 26,000 UAVs, 533 anti-aircraft missile systems, 16,416 armored combat vehicles, 1,348 multiple launch rocket systems, and 10,825 field artillery units.
