The CCP Threatens Death Penalty For ‘Diehard’ Taiwan Separatists

06/22/2024 The Star: The Chinese government on Friday (June 21) threatened to impose the death penalty in extreme cases for “diehard” Taiwan independence separatists, a ratcheting up of pressure even though Chinese courts have no jurisdiction on the democratically governed island. Lai Ching-te, the newly elected Taiwanese President, reiterated that Taiwan will not give in to the CCP’s coercion.
