Robin Vos' Tactics to Undermine Kelly Clark's Campaign

On June 10, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin,  Trevor Ford, representing the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (also known as Robin Vos), attempted to keep independent candidate Kelly Clark out of the race for the Wisconsin Assembly 33rd district which Vos is also a candidate. Ford falsely accused Clark of gathering 102 electors' signatures after an alleged deadline of June 1, 2024.
However, the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) had actually established a deadline of June 3, 2024, for submitting nominating petitions, as June 1, 2024, fell on a Saturday. Just like the IRS' April 15 deadline, the WEC chose the next business day for the deadline, which was Monday, June 3, 2024. Clark had diligently collected the signatures between April 15, 2024, and June 3, 2024, within the specified nomination paper circulation period.

It was clear that Vos' influence was at play. Commissioners Millis and Spindell seemed to struggle with determining the correct deadline, sending a message that they were bending over backwards to appease Vos by trying to keep Clark off the ballot. However, their efforts ultimately failed. Another grassroots candidate was also challenged by the Robin Vos cartel.
